Manufacturing Process
Molten Babbitt can be poured under pressure by turning a bearing at the proper RPM. This centrifugal force ensures fine bond and bearing integrity.

Quality Control

Bearing shells are carefully examined for mechanical flaws and purified. Our certified technicians use ultrasonic testing and dye penetrant tests to guarantee babbitt to shell bonds.
Gun Metal Babbitt Bearings
Offered Gun Metal-backed Babbitt bearings are our high grade replacement part. For applying the Babbitt lining, our shell backing, which is a SAE 40 or 85-5-5-5 Gun metal provides excellent bonding properties. This Gun metal is widely appreciated as it is great bearing material that is capable of withstanding heavy load as well as demands of rotating equipment while taking care of crankshaft in the event of a failure. These bearings have a tin-based Babbitt metal lining. To ensure the perfect fatigue resistance and ability to embed small particles of impurity from the oil, we apply this lining at the optimal thickness.
